A LONG TIME LISTENING is the debut album of multi-award-winning jazz rockers Agent Fresco, known for their volcanically eruptive performances of music that blends driving spasmodic rhythms and compelling guitar work with spaciously rhapsodic vocal melodies and deeply personal lyrics.
The 17 songs of this album recreate all the sonic exuberance and soaring lyricism of their live performances, backed up on the title track by a chorus of members from Dikta, For a Minor Reflection, Rökkuró, Mammút and more. Aldrei verið mikill aðdáandi en á síðasta árinu hafa Fresco-menn bætt sig. Þeir eru ótrúlega þéttir á nýju plötunni og hafa klárlega unnið í því að finna sitt sound. Frábær plata!

I've never been much of a fan, but in the last year Agent Fresco has bettered themselves. Their new album is very good and have clearly found the sound they've been looking for since Músíktilraunir. I tend to stick to my opinions to the death but they managed to change it. VERY GOOD ALBUM!

"Formbreytar" er orðið sem ég ætla að nota til þess að lýsa Agent Fresco. A Long Time Listening er massíft flott verk frá flottri hljómsveit ... formbreytum; sem flakka frá einu kyni í annað, synda gegn þungum straumi yfir í lygnan hyl, kafa djúpt, skjótast svo, eins og gjósandi hver upp úr djúpinu, fljúga hátt, þangað sem sólargeislarnir brotna á tónum þeirra, þannig að þeir dreifast um öll hvel (ég sá þá læf á Faktoríunni fyrir jól og er að fara á tónleikana á mogun, tja í kvöld í Austurbæ ). Tónlist þeirra virðist á stundum vera svo nálagt því að vera "sóðaleg mistök", en er einhvernvegin alltaf réttu ... hárréttu megin við skynfærin: kitlandi, klórandi, káfandi, kýlandi, kyssandi, kelandi ... konfekt.

Veldu þér mola!
