Album Info
'Amateur' took me about 5 months to make, from start to finish.I did nearly everything myself. This has had certain drawbacks, considering that
1) I can't play a single instrument
2) I know only the very basics of mixing, production, and all that malarkey to do with getting a professional sound
3) I've become completely stubborn about doing everything my own way, and not heeding the ones who've given me advice about how to handle everything.
(Despite being aware they really know what they're talking about, and only wants what's best for me and my music.)
It's probably very true the album could be 'better' if I called on professional help, and didn't rush it like I do.
But it is not what this album is about.
'Amateur' is the sound of me, right now, right here. With all my abilities and lack of same. The inspiration, creative ways, and skills I posess right now, at this moment in time.
It is extremely possible that I will look back in a few years, listen to the album and go, what was I thinking!? Why wasn't I more patient, and spend more time to achieve a better result?
But that will be then. This is now.
I hope you will enjoy listening to 'Amateur' as much as I did making it.
