Album Info

The title Antiquity relates to De/Vision momentos from the years 1990 until 1992. Songs the band played at their first concerts without including them on their first CD. It was in 1995 when these wonderful synthpop pieces were re-recorded and they did not lose any of their original charm. Primary member Stefan Blender initially wrote the lyrics to Circulate and Lost in you, but had already left the band before the songs were put to tape. Lost in you was actually even planned as single, and along with the seven other tracks share these points: composition, melody, catchiness, wonderful lyrics and a synthesizer sound that made the band famous. Markus Ganssert then also left the band, but his solos on the songs Melody of your face and The gold of the poor appear on Antiquity. The former concert intro A word in season connects classical elements with modern synth sound. A trip to the past coupled with elements that are timelessly classic. The lyrics also are quite topical which is proven by the song The gold of the poor written before the first invasion of Iraq. De/Vison, however, dont offer solutions, but only approaches that can inspire us all. The antiquities on this release are more than a collectors item and their concepts work best as a whole. Thus these songs are not available individually and appear on no other compilation. Unreleased songs not only for fans.
