1 year ago by Erik Williamson
Sci-fi soundtrack for Gold Coast composer:

Gold Coast resident Erik Williamson has compiled an experimental and ambient EP, remastered by Tidy Kid. The opening track Time Is Not A Reality (But A Concept) begins with an imitation of every high-pitched alarm that has ever gone off at an irritating hour of the morning. The album is eerie; like an overzealous soundtrack to the X-Files. Once past the initial nails-on-a-chalkboard start, it flows to a more easy listening and minimalistic electronica. Communications Failure and Artificial Harmonic are beat orientated tracks that give you the 'This call is coming from inside the house' vibe. Creepy factor aside, it's cohesive and inventive. I recommend this for fans of the electronic and tentative.
