Album Info

SLAVES TO FASHION? Are we really? And if yes, is "Artistic Differences" in fashion, or not? There are four people who really do not care about the answers to those questions: Johannes Stole (Vocals), Torfinn Sirnes (Guitar), Vidar Ingvaldsen (Drums) and John Lind (Bass) play a Rock music that is timeless and by that the very opposite of fashion. Founded over ten years ago in Haugesund, Norway, as LOCAWEDA and later as PEDESTRIANS OF BLUE (two demos were released under that name) the band changed their name to P:O:B soon after and released their self recorded debut album "Crossing Over" in 2007. All received excellent reviews and three years later, the band had composed ten more songs that make up their second full album, "Artistic Differences". Everybody involved is certain that these tunes have the potential to become major hits, be it the song 'Mrs. Hero', which was released a few weeks after the initial release of the album as a radio single (plus 'Love You Back') and stayed in the local radio charts in Haugesund, Norway, for over two months. This could easily be a chart breaker if discovered by the right persons, or the melodic 'Superstar (I Want Out)', or maybe even the melancholic and deep 'Out Of Here' with its haunting melody. And finally, "Artistic Differences" contains the longest track the band has ever written, and which is a little reminder of progressive roots and tendencies among the musicians: 'Facts On The Ground'. Overall, a diverse, suspenseful and innovative album from a young underground band that needs support from the music press to get attention. Currently, the album received 35 reviews which can all be found here http://www.slavestofashion.net/reviews.htm and which includes a raving 9 our of 10 from the print version of ROCK HARD Magazine, Germany.
