It started with a Negroni, a bar and a chat ...And now they are ready to release their new album, "Dead Man's Shoes" and not least to set the standard for Norwegian rockabilly.
To return to the Negroni...In 2006 Jimmy Dapper was new in Oslo, he met vocalist, bartender Harvey Tank which served up drinks at the cocktail bar "Barboca". The other two prowling around the area and picked up by the smell of gin and berries. Ace Dynamite had a recently purchased bass and previous knowledge of Harvey. Butch Comet was a chef, who with the right seasonings made the accomplished sound of the band.
Many recognize these guys from the Norwegian Eurovision Song Contest 2011 where they as the first rockabilly band ever , participated with the song "Fire Below". After thinking "why not" they stood on stage and suddenly struck with a 3rd place in the final. An adventure of accomplishments.
This was the new beginning and the band toured to provide what the audience and organizers wanted. Countries noticed this and Europe's leading authentic rockabilly festival contact and booked them Into the big stage. Once again the first Norwegian rockabilly band to play in such a scene.
"Dead Man's Shoes is an intricate album, full of references and innovations of a bygone time.
