It is one of those stories that no one wants to believe later. The Munich-based rapper and presenter Fiva interviewed the bassist Rüdiger Linhof of Sportfreunde Stiller, for one of her radio shows. They listened to each other. A connection was made. What the microphone didn't pick up: "We should make music together!" Both laugh. Two years later the album "Die Stadt gehört wieder mir" (The city is mine again) is being released. It is the fourth studio album by Nina Sonnenberg aka Fiva. Co-produced by the Munich musician Paul Reno. Whoever now expects a pop production with indie-rock guitars, stadium choruses and a few rap verses in between, is wrong. Fiva, Rüde and Paul put their collective musical experience in "Die Stadt gehört wieder mir!". Everything is working towards one goal: to find the right music for Fiva's rap lyrics. And it works: her often disarming honesty, the on point word plays and her unique mental cinema are underlined by the music perfectly. "Dein Lächeln verdreht Köpfe!" is the second single from the eponymous album. Double bass and string ensembles, guitars and drums. Nothing more, nothing less. The song is about friendship between two people; about a deep connection, far away from the hollywood aesthetics. It's not about the one true love, marriage, kids and building a home together. It's about understanding, affection and that one special smile of the other, that turn everything upside down. And maybe even about the nicest compliment one can make: „Your smile turns heads“ (Dein Lächeln verdreht Köpfe).
