Named after his Lower East Side neighbourhood in New York City, Ray Lugo, leader of KOKOLO, launches his soulful new project, L.E.S. EXPRESS, with this killer of a '45, featuring two of the most promising female vocalists on today's scene and sure to keep many a discerning DJ happy. On the A-Side we find Brazilian newcomer Elani, waxing nostalgic about the mythic Bahia while working her sultry vocals through one of the grooviest tracks heard in a while.
