Album Info

Barber's 2nd LP, Either/Or juxtaposes improvised (May 1st, Only Mostly Dead, Reflection On a Warm Dream, The Artificial Sea) and tiresomely practiced (Untitled, I'm Alright, The Impatient Insomniac) tracks. All instrumental, the album alternates piano and misc.(mostly organ) instrumentation. Without using beats, most of these compositions were finished in one sitting with the exception of Only Mostly Dead (on which I've overdubbed 'found' audio clips), Reflections On a Warm Dream, and a melody on The Impatient Insomniac.
'The Artificial Sea', the 23 minute closer utilizing a variety of sounds was also finished in one improvised sitting.
