Album Info

Field Recordings: Music from the Ether is the first full length solo album by Úlfur Eldjárn. Úlfur has previously composed music for stage and television and released albums with several bands, most notably Apparat Organ Quartet.

Field Recordings was recorded between the years 2008 and 2010 and features Úlfur's experiments with mechanical music devices from all ages, such as the medieval symphonie, pipe organ, a computer controlled drum robot and vocaloid singing.

The music was also released as part of the artbook Manifestations (book + CD + DVD), the fruit of an extensive collaboration between a group of Icelandic and Norwegian artists from various fields. More information about the Manifestations project on www.manifestations.no
