Album InfoKnown for his unique style of guitar playing and simple songwriting Petur Ben has been a sought after collaborator and producer. He stepped into the limelight with Mugison when Murr Murr became a hit and won them song of the year on the Icelandic Music Awards. The year after he walked home with the award for best alternative album of the year for his debut album Wine For My Weakness.
Petur has kept his hands busy working with friends such as Ragnar Bragason for whom he's done three film scores and Kippi Kaninus who in turn also plays in Petur's band. Last year he did an album with Eberg called Numbers Game.
This year however his long anticipated second solo album Gods Lonely Man will finally see the light of day. The first single brings Velvet Underground to mind but the rest of the album takes that feeling of abandonment and runs with it in every possible direction.
