Minor Sailor-How Things Happened
• Released May 23, 2011
"How Things Happened" tells us two years of travelling and discoveries.
Things begun in Sweden in September 2009, when the days were getting everyday shorter. In an flat in the suburbs of Stockholm, with a guitar mottled and a cassette recorder we composed the first tracks of the album, "Doctor Said" and "And I know".
Back to in Paris at springtime, with cables intertwining around photographics films, the bustle of the capital did not failed to print it's mood in the songs.Three shots ringing out as in a theater, "Once upon a time" announce us the beginnig of the record. Then return to the birthplace of the project, in South of France. "Ice Scream" born stunned by the summer heat. Then things moved to a research of everyday sounds : a noisy kitchen, a giant printing press hidden in a old factory, each memories recorded founding naturally a space in these compositions. "The only talent he seems to have " never found a ending, evoluatiing al the time, as a melancholic research of something lost.
We finished this album in Reykjavik with "It Happened That Day" and "Doctor Said again" deeply inspired by the daily reality lived there.
Now it's time for us to share our travel diaries.
