Album Info

Austrian Band Crucible (Josh Lambert, Matthias Aufreiter, Joe Chalupar, Lukas Aufreiter) hits the scene with their Debut Album Law of Grace. The foursome from Wels/Upper Austria has been continuously rocking since 2003, where they humbly had their first show in a small bar in a small village, much to the appreciation of the 20 people that were there. In retrospect one can confidently say that the endeavour has matured and grown quite a bit. The guys place their music in the Alternative Rock Genre which for them means the music kicks but doesnt lack in the melody section. Tracks like Hatemail or You Are There fall nothing short of the heaviness we have all come to expect from real rock music, but Law of Grace still cannot be placed in the Metal department, as the Tracks Hold On or Forgive Me loudly state. Good round music, but full of rough edges to make it not feel "too good to be true". With this Album we were trying to musically and thematically connect all these songs that we had written 1, 2 or 3 years ago and send the listener on a musical journey from Track 1 to Track 12 with us, says the Bands front man. All believers and critics would also do well to pay attention, as this album has a very controversial theme. The guys in the Band deal with the issue of forgiveness and reconciliation with God through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.   No one can refute that talented people were working here, when one sees who the band was working with: Recorded & Mixed in Sun Studios, Pettenbach, Upper Austria by Franz Pöhn (Incorporated), and mastered by Roger Lian (Slayer, Muse, Coheed & Cambria) in NY for Masterdisk. All in all a well balanced, quality work with catchy tunes to feed your ears for a long while.
