Album Info

A Norwegian film soundtrack release is a rare thing. Now, thanks to Pling Kong Recordings, two come along at once! First up is LILLISEED (original Norwegian title “Lille Frø”), which is something as curious as a short film soundtrack EP. It contains all the music from director Hanne Larsen’s award winning 2008 short film. In addition to that, there are a total of 6 bonus tracks with alternate cues and demos. The score is by Norwegian composer Eirik Myhr. He is also the owner of Pling Kong Recordings, a small independent label which aims to release many more soundtrack releases in the future.

The score of Lilliseed is inspired by computer game music of the 90s among other things, and centers its sound around what both composer Myhr and director Larsen prefers to call “pirate tonality”. It is performed by a small, creaky chamber orchestra. Set sail!
