Album Info

Dierpmes was formed in Lakselv, Norway in 2008 and performes alternative metal in Northern Sami, Norwegian and English.

The band was formed by default, when the band Simon and Greiner was in back then had a gig at a youthclub in Lakselv, and their singer didn't show up. They asked Tráhte if he would do a song with them, he agreed. After the show the bookingmanager of the biggest musicfestival in northern Norway asked if they would want to do a gig at the festival. They said yes, and Dierpmes was a fact.

Until January 2011 they didn't do to many gigs, they did the one at the Midnightrock Festival, and the year after on the markedplace during the "Gla' Laks" marked days. After that they only rehearsed for self entertainment every now and then ..

But in January 2011, the band got a new spark and a new urge to play, and they recruited a new guitarist, who had his own home-recordingstudio. Since then they've been recording old and new songs, mostly demos for them selfs to hear. They've played at three festivals, the Sami Easter Festival in Kautokeino, Skiippagurra Festival in Tana and the Midnightrock Festival in Lakselv.

Now they're building a new recordingstudio and plan to release an EP with four songs in sami and norwegian, then a single with an english song with the singer of Sixx from Alta, and then a CD-album with a mixture of different launguages and styles.
