Keep your heart from getting cold! The Floorettes from Berlin create their very own soul revival. Inspired by the Northern Soul of the 60s and early 70s they produced an album with 12 original and catchy songs, whose influences are distinctive indeed, but whose style is timeless though. The band of 11 brings an old sound to modern spirit without degenerating into a copy. The concept of the classic girl group may remind you of legendary examples of yore, however the three front women Julia, Amelie and Katharina rather typify the brashness of the Marvelettes than the glamour of the Supremes. With charm, vitality and a pocket full of soul they like to banish the stress from daily routine – so that the listener either goes home with a big grin or wishes to press the repeat button immediately.
