Pi's third sound diary

Pi's "Portfolio" is a sound diary about sonic architecture, a record of progressive electronic music, wandering through out melancholy and the clinical whiteness of things. The third chapter of an evolutionary project, presents the purity of chaos along chants, refrigerators, blips and frequencies.

After the restless "Yi" in 2001 and Q~td (...) from 2002 with their constant mood swings, the reaction appears: "Portfolio". In this new phase of overcomed conflicts and with a new set of experiences at hand, João Dorminsky proclaims emotional passivity the topic for this album. Apart from some traces of the latter, the scenary appears to be diversified, more obversing, in opposition to the first two albums introspection. With the same sensitivity to detail, the creative process suggests a more intense fusion of styles and influences, keeping in its continued audition the true narrative.
