Album Info

When the Mahatma Colin Jamieson and his friends enter the stage, the audience can expect a somewhat different blues show. In some ways The Dynamite Daze have changed the rules of the normal 12 bar blues theme. In their songs, the international quartet deliver an insight into their very own perception of the Blues. Stories about strong women, surrealistic drug excesses or strange mavericks are themes, the Dynamite Daze present unsugared and stylistically unlimited. The Dynamite Daze play the Blues.... Just a little bit different In 1999 the unique singer and harmonica player Dirty Didi met the Scottish drummer Colin Jamieson for the first time, when they were both hired for a tour with Louisiana Red. He immediately realized that he was on stage with one of the outstanding drummers of the scene (Colin was drummer with Country Joe McDonald, Bill Ramsey or Ted Herold). Together they decided to start their own blues project under the name The FBKs. In the following years they toured Germany, Switzerland, Austria and other neighbouring countries. In 2007 they met the Italian bass player Andrea Tognoli and the German guitar player Martin Czemmel (formerly playing with Luther Allison and Maisha Grant). It was then that these four talented musicians decided to do their own thing. They can now be seen and heard at festivals and the hottest clubs around Europe - under their new name THE DYNAMITE DAZE. Country Joe McDonald, Luther Allison, Louisiana Red, Bill Ramsey, Ted Herold, Angela Brown oder Toto Cotugno are only a few of the stars with whom the musicians of THE DYNAMITE DAZE have played together. More than 50 records in 40 years speak for themselves.
