“Keziah” is a rock band from Hannover, Germany built around singer Sandra Barclay and guitarist Kai Ulrich. First founded in the late eighties, their collaboration ended after only having recorded a few demo tapes. Now twenty years down the road their debut album is finally being released, slightly later than originally planned, hence the name; “Well Behind Schedule”. Stylistically (obviously things have changed a bit since the eighties) “Keziah” was entirely addicted to hair metal and classical hard rock. On “Well Behind Schedule” you will still find strong references to that era, however in addition their style varies from hard rock through some pop-rock songs all the way over to the big ballad. What hasn’t changed of course is that all songs are strongly guitar orientated. It was in 2010 that Kai Ulrich - who in the meantime had become a successful live sound engineer with some well known clients - started to extend his activities to working in studios as well. That led him to restart writing songs and recording them. At the same time, thanks to some social network, Kai and Sandrea got back in touch and decided to carry on where they had stopped with their musical cooperation. Due to the fact that now, unlike the old days, they were able to work all on their own; from songwriting to recording and mixing - independently from commercial sound studios, they had all the time in the world to develop their music unhurriedly.
