Album Info

"Yi" (idea in chinese) is Pi's first born son, a sound diary that found its form of expression through electronic music. This album is the result of the project's natural growth since its creation in 1999, presenting tense and dark sounds with a strong emotional side.

Pi doesn't have a defined style, being "sound poetry" the best way to describe it. Drum & Bass, Ambient, Chill out, World Music and Noise aren't broad enough genres to be aplied individually to a single song. They're short stories, moments and fragments of the mind's awakening to a dream-like state of mind.

Always searching for the light, the evolution in the album's song display shows a restless and nervous innocence, inherent to all melodies, although some of them suggest melancholy or a certain romantism. Like nature itself, this is a strolling and evolutive personal record, and although its imponent appearance it cannot avoid presenting unsolved issues. A book with a beginning, a middle... and a lot of chapters.
