Great Garden offers songs of emotional and musical depth. Their texts tell stories about real life; full of longing, melancholy, and hope. The duo combines singer/songwriter and pop elements to create their own sound: warm truth that is sure to touch every listener. The distinguishing characteristic of Great Garden is the sensitive voice of singer, Antje Zumbansen. Songwriter’s Monthly Magazine (USA) wrote," Be ready to be brought to your knees. Antje has a voice that is pure beauty.” Antje received numerous awards for her songwriting during her studies at Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA. And her songs also have also been heard on daily US-TV shows such as "The Young and the Restless" and "All my Children". After five years of working in New York as a composer and performer, Antje moved back to Berlin and began collaborating with guitarist, Pivo Deinert. Pivo Deinert can look back at a 20 year long career as a guitarist/composer/producer, and 30 years of stage experience. Pivo has worked with artists such as Orange Blue, Francisca Urio and Lou Bega, among others. In 2009, together with his partner Hans Hafner, he composed the music score for the TV series, "13 hours-race against time". Their cooperation has been crowned with the nomination for the "German TV Music Award 2010", as well as a nomination for an "International Emmy". Great Garden’s song "Sometimes", (the second track on their 2 track single) can be heard on the SAT1, Telenovela, "Anna und die Liebe". This song was written especially for the lead character of the show, Anna. The viewer reaction to the song was tremendous. Since the first airing of "Sometimes", Great Garden has had 114.000 myspace profile visitors and 107,000 youtube clicks for the video.
