Album Info
Grachmusikoff (1998) Zwanzg johr Subbr“ (c+p: Schwoißfuaß Tonträger GbR, Dorfstr 23, 72119 Ammerbuch (Germany). This album is "the" sampler of the first 20 years of this swabian Band, and reflects the strange break in Germany of the 80s, in whose middle the dialect music is suddenly completely "out". After the success of the "Neue Deutsche Welle" The "High-German" finds also use with Grachmusikoff. Yes, the Gracs "use" the "High-German rather than an almost cynical-cold language ("Sie tragen wieder Körper"), and thereby dont lose her swabian authenticity. So they mix the English with the Swabian in the rap "It `s Blosmusik" or fuse a bad "piss-out-swabian" in the song "Fischkopf" with a corrosive-haughty "High-German". But these "games" don`t edge on the older and newer Swabian stories like the "Liad vom Bauragriag", "Schwaaz Vere" or the very popular song: "Ikarus vom Lautertal". Impressive romantic-sad episodes like "Franz", stand beside so child-amusing songs like "Herbert" or the droll swabian country "Ratzariader Schenkelbatscher". Eighteen well-chosen songs make this album in his musical diversity - from ballads, Blasmusik and stamping Brass-Blues up to a little bit blue-eyed disco pop ("Corfu dance"), to one of the bestselling from Grachmusikoff. The people who loves the musical change, this album could be a very interesting "time trip" from the end of the Seventies to the end of the nineties.More From This Artist (4)
