Album Info

Already a year after the much notable debut album „Der Tod und das Mädchen“ Dörthe Flemming released her second long player „... und wenn das Herz auch bricht !“ of her solo project „Bacio di Tosca“. In spite of the short distance between the publications she presents a mature work about the subject „ love – in all her facets “ with selected texts of old poets like Heine, Storm or Joseph von Eichendorff. If the debut album sounded at some place a little bit undecided, this album looks stylistically strengthened and impressively shows how well classical and modern elements can be connected. Dörthe Flemming knows how to connect these ostensible contrasts to a common thick composition and to develop her own, unmistakeable style. With the aura of her operatic-classical voice, she is able to transport the emotions of the texts authentically and in a very unique way.
