Music Manager

What is the Music Manager?

We want to make it as easy as possible for you to upload and publish your music to gogoyoko and start selling. The gogoyoko Music Manager is a set of tools for artists and labels to use to manage their music on the gogoyoko site. We've started with tools that allow you to put your music on the store and manage your artist information on the site, but this section of our site will grow into a complete set of statistics and marketing tools for you and the band you're managing.

How do I create an artist identity?

When you sign up to the site, you first give your name and email address so that you can start a profile as a music listener. This is your main account. Then, when you've completed the first short steps to sign up, you can select the artist option in the last option and go to the Music Manager to create your first artist identity.

If you didn't already create an artist identity when you signed up, you can do so now by selecting the Music Manager option at the top of the site (click on your username when you are logged in). When you open the Music Manager, click on the big green button marked "Create New Artist" and a page will open where you can give all the info for your artist identity on gogoyoko: your artist photo, the name of the artist, bio info, and other useful information for your fans.

Can I create many artist identities?

Yes, indeed. You can create as many artist identities as you want as long as you really are the manager of the band. When you've created many artist identities, you can switch between the identities easily while browsing the gogoyoko site by selecting a different name in the dropdown menu marked "Change User" at the top of the page. Then you can leave comments for people as yourself or as your band, depending on who you feel like being today.

Where do I upload music?

To upload and publish music for sale on gogoyoko you log in, go to the Music Manager and select your artist account. Select the "Albums" option in the right navigation menu and press 'Create New Album' to start the album creation process. When you have completed the four-step procedure, you will be able to publish your music into the gogoyoko store.

Just remember, your music must be in 320 kbps mp3 quality. The Music Manager provides guidance on how to convert music to the acceptable format. Once you have published it may take a few minutes for the album to appear in the store since our encoder needs to spend some time making the streaming version of the tracks.
